Topic: Call for Participants: Bagasbas Beach International Eco-Arts Festival

The Bagasbas International Eco-Arts Festival (www.bbieaf.org) is an arts festival that involves the participation of six artists in the installation of large-scale bamboo structures on Bagasbas Beach in partnership with members of coastal communities in which they are immersed.
The festival seeks to bring increased awareness to environmental problems, provide new perspectives to solving environmental problems, and create new pathways where Art can be of functional use to communities as a tool for a better life.
In this latest iteration, the 3rd BBIEAF 2010, there are two added dimensions - a New Media Arts festival that involves 24 artists showing their digital art creations which includes videos, computer projects, robotics, etc; and a Public Furniture part.
This is going to happen from May 30 till June 5, 2010 in Daet, Camarines Norte, Philippines.
The 2010 BBIEAF is supported by the National Commission on Culture and the Arts (NCCA).
Interested artists can email jgp88@yahoo.com for more details. Please indicate your interest in either Installation, Public Furniture or New Media.
