Closure of the NeMe forum

Dear NeMe forum Community,

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to close our online Forum.

This decision was not made lightly, and we want to express our gratitude for your contributions over the years. The NeMe Forum was launched in January 2006, responding to requests by some participants in the official Manifesta 6 forum. In the spirit of open debate, free speech, the right to information, and the demand of accountability, this forum started as an alternative platform promoting openness and engagement.

Through the years the community engagement has been reduced dramatically, as people moved to social media platforms, and updates of the software by the developers have become more sparse. As such, and although we are proud of the connections and discussions that have taken place here, the time has come to focus on developing our interests in the arts rather than struggling to keep a dying, under-supported software alive.

Note that much of the forum content is archived and accessible on the Wayback Machine. We encourage you to visit the archive should you wish to retrieve any information. For those seeking historical information about the Manifesta 6 events, we would recommend the M6 section which contains much heated discussion about the cancellation of the Biennial.

Alternatively, browse the rich content maintained at the NeMe website, interact with us on Blue Sky, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, and Mastodon, watch our videos on Youtube, or Vimeo, or visit our active announcements:
