CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium accepts artists submissions to participate in the next exhibition season 2021-2022 and the coming event:

"Art of Freedom" - Group exhibition
First edition of the events cycle and Best Art of Freedom recognition.

Location: CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium - Lavagna, Italy
Accepted artworks: bi-dimensional, wall installed, including video art
Period: one month, t.b.a. within 2021

FREE THEME: differently from all our group exhibitions, the cycle "Art of Freedom" is characterised by the absence of a leading theme, leaving total freedom to the artists, who are chosen on personality and contents, so that they can freely propose their most personal view, without fear of prejudices or censorship. This does not prevent them to freely take inspiration from freedom and to express in that sense, after all art IS freedom, which is nowadays a value that is menaced again, thus needing new attentions.

We Are Joseph Beuys - Group exhibition
Location: CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium - Lavagna, Italy

Period: late 2021
Theme: An exhibition dedicated to the birth centenary of the great master who inspired many generations of artists and promoted the environmental concern in our society, in particular during his intense relation with the Italian cultural panorama. The intent of the show is to keep the debate running on the truest and deep feeling of love for the nature that pushed him, through artworks that can confront with his way to express and make art, his activities, his personality and even his figure.

TransHumance - Thematic group exhibition
Location: CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium - Lavagna, Italy
Accepted artworks: bi-dimensional, wall installed, including video art
Period: 2022
Theme: wearable high-tech, augmented reality, cybernetic prostheses, microchip implants, are the first steps of the transhumanism that herds human beings like cattle toward the singularity. Does the human being wish to be free from the natural body's caducity? What is the meaning of  preserving the intellectual individuality in cyberspace? Which perspectives would immortality offer? Wouldn't be more desirable to train our natural body and innate potentialities?
