Dear Robert,
Helene Black, although a founding member of NeMe and this forum has no administrator rights so your IPs are not monitored by her or other contributing members. This forum uses a modified version of PunBB. We modified it for presentation and usability purposes as well as to incorporate links of the latest entries from our main site, visible at the bottom of each page. PunBB is an open source forum program and a link to its site has been on the bottom right of all our pages all along. Yes administrators and moderators can view the IPs but this is true for most professionally authored forums and BBSs and we would guess this includes the official Manifesta forum. IP logging is a built in safety feature offered by most software which requires postings by users other than that of the owner. IP registration is not here to invade your privacy but to block persistent spammers. NeMe does not intend to disclose this information to any third parties.
NeMe has always been open on its position and some of its individual members are posting here using their real names. The neme forum has a number of members and guests who do post here with an alias and this is very acceptable as NeMe respects that privacy. What NeMe does not respect is the creation of different online characters by certain individual(s), whose apparent only purpose is to create a divisive animosity.
When we created this forum we wrote "In the spirit of open debate, free speech, the right to information and the demand for accountability". We still stand by our initial intentions.
NeMe has nothing to hide. In the front page of this forum we state "Please note that this is not the official Manifesta 6 forum" whereas in our 'sticky' topic entitled 'why' we do offer the reasons which prompted us to create this discussion space and the link to the official M6 forum .
