Topic: Call to exhibition season 2018-2019

CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium accepts submissions to participate in the next exhibition season 2018-2019.

Artists can apply starting from now and on a rolling basis for:

- solo or double-solo exhibits;
- group exhibits.

Beside the individual exhibitions of free and personalised expression, the following thematic group exhibitions are planned:

Egosophy - Group exhibition
Location: CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium - Lavagna, Italy
Accepted artworks: bi-dimensional, wall installed
Period: 2018
Thematic: The artists through the artworks speak about their own lifestyle, behaviour and philosophy. Ego not meant as egotism, but as existence, thus expression of self, sharing own experience with others.

Pop Surrealism - Group exhibition
Location: CON-TEMPORARY Art Observatorium - Lavagna, Italy
Accepted artworks: bi-dimensional, wall installed
Period: 2018
Thematic: A glance on the disenchanted style characterising the contemporary epoch, where the inheritance of local cultures ancient classic and '900's modern blend with the global one of the most actual languages of Pop Art, manga and Low Brow, in a trait d'union between idealism and relativism.

Furthermore we start to consider artists interested in participating to the successive project:

Deus Ex Terra - Group exhibition
Location: prestigious historical palace - Venice, Italy
Period: 2019 (during Art Biennale)
Accepted artworks: all art disciplines
Thematic: The human species successfully existed for millions years in harmony with nature, never destroying the environment as it is doing since just barely more than one century. The exhibit wishes to propose an existential model that is scientifically and intellectually evolved, but that does not hinder the possibility to live in equilibrium with the Earth: ancient civilisations did understood the universe even not launching rockets to the Moon, breaking the atom, bending life or bleed dry the depths of the earth. The potentiality of imagination is sufficient to satisfy the urge to understand, because all that satiates the mind is already in ourselves and all that fulfils the body is already in the nature.

After careful examination of the proposals, the artists compatible with the curatorial intents will receive answer.
